demonstrated a capacity for leadership and a willingness to accept a greater
role in creating and implementing programs for their fellow students.
Committee chairs are selected each November through an application and
interview process and serve for the following calendar year.

information on the Committee chair selection process, contact the Development Area Director.
Committee Members
Committee members are the life-blood of the
Illini Union Board. Over 400 students with a wide range of majors, class
years, backgrounds and interests serve vital roles in planning and organizing
hundreds of programs each year. With over 30 committees there is an opportunity
to match almost any interest. Many accept new members continually throughout
the year. Committees such as Musicals only accept applications at certain
times. Others such as Mom's and Dad’s
Weekends and Homecoming event committees organize to plan one special event.
To join a
committee, contact that committee's Chairperson or the Development Area Director at 333-3663 or stop by the IUB office
in room 227 Illini Union.
